Situated in a quiet backwater of the historic Pennine village of Honley, it is only a three minute walk to the daily opening food shops, pubs and award winning restaurants.
In fabulous ‘last of the summer wine’ walking country on the edge of the Peak District national park and close to the Pennine Way, Jeff’s Cottage is within easy driving distance of Manchester, Leeds, Harewood House, Chatsworth, the Bronte country and even the indoor real snow ski slope Xscape at Castleford.
For children there is the ‘hands on’ action and activity museum in nearby Halifax, a wonderful childrens’ farm and play area at the Cannon Hall farm shop at Cawthorne, and steam train trips on the Kirklees Light railway.

Normally bookings are for 1 week Saturday to Saturday, but 3 or 4 day breaks or last minute bookings can often be made by telephoning 01484 661329. You can also telephone this number for any other queries, but not after 9 pm please.
A deposit of £85 is required to confirm your booking and this then becomes the refundable breakages / damage deposit when you pay the complete charge for your holiday. This has to be paid ONE MONTH before your holiday commences. The £85 deposit will then be returned to you 7-10 days after departure. You are requested to leave the cottage by 10.am. on the day of departure, and not to arrive before 4 pm. on the arrival day.
From the North:
Drive down onto the M62 to either junction 24 or 25. Go to Huddersfield, join the ring road, following it round and then taking the A616 towards Holmfirth. In just over 3 miles bear right at traffic lights, and in 50 yards turn right at 2nd. Traffic lights. Follow road round to right uphill into Honley village (150 yards) and turn right at Post Office into Church street (cobbled). After church take 2nd.left (Town Head) and Jeff’s Cottage, no.26 is on right hand side in 70 yards.
From the South:
Travel on the M1 to junction 35A (A616) and keep on the A616 at all junctions and roundabouts for 18 miles to Honley (3miles beyond New Mill and 1 mile beyond Brockholes.) Just before pedestrian crossing with traffic lights turn left, and then immediately straight on at proper traffic lights. Follow road round uphill into Honley village (150 yards) and turn right at Post Office into Church street (cobbled). After church take 2nd. Left (Town Head) and Jeff’s Cottage, no.26 is on right hand side in 70 yards
